Splicing Expected to Resume Next Week

Fiber splicers have been in short supply in Charlemont, leading to a multi-week slip in the release schedule for FSA 05.  Originally projected to start service installations in September, this second fiber service area, which spans from the Federated church east through Avery Brook Road and the Red Rose motel, is now expected to go live in October with a commitment to complete testing early next week.

Our distribution contractor, TriWire, will bring in an additional splice team to work in parallel next week in FSA 04 (East Charlemont). This second team should help to pull the overall schedule back in line with the project timeline. The construction team will be continuing the fiber and MST build in FSA 02, on the west end of town. If you see these hard-working crews, give them a shout of thanks!
