Charlemont has begun serving beta customers and testing has begun! A few issues have been identified and are being corrected in the installation process and network operation. As soon as the identified issues are resolved, scheduling for general installations for the first fiber service area will begin.
Installations for some beta tester customers in FSA 01 hit a literal bump in the road in the village center. The ongoing construction limited access to the MSTs along Route 2 in the village center and will require closer coordination between Whip City Fiber, Mass DOT, and Maxymillian. Charlemont representatives met with Whip City Fiber on Friday to discuss how to keep these installations moving despite the construction.
