Emergency Broadband Benefit Available to Qualified Subscribers

Last updated on October 10, 2021

The federal government is working with Whip City Fiber to offer the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) to reduce the monthly cost of the municipal fiber network service by $50/month for qualified subscribers! This benefit can also be combined with the federal LifeLine benefit for those that qualify, which will reduce the monthly charge by an additional $9.25/month.

The benefit can be taken if any member of the household qualifies. These programs would reduce the monthly cost of Charlemont’s service from $79.99 to $29.99 with EBB and to $20.74 with both EBB and Lifeline.
