TriWire crews have completed the first three construction steps in FSA 01- hanging string, attaching the fiber-optic cable, and installing an MST for each location to be served! This accelerated effort has completed the major work in the traffic calming area ahead of the resumption of the DOT construction this spring!
Before installations can begin, fiber splicing and testing must be complete. There is currently a backlog of available splice crews across the Northeast. Please contact Charlemont Connect if you know of specialized teams who might have splicing and testing availability. Charlemont continues to work closely with our partners at Westfield Gas & Electric and our state officials to source splicing resources.
Our first customers will be in FSA 01, which is the village west of the town hall and convenience store to Zoar Outdoor, including Warfield Road, Riddell Road, High Street. East Hawley Road and South River Road. To streamline installations for all remaining fiber service areas, residents and businesses throughout this area are encouraged to sign up for service today!
