Obear Construction has completed work on the Network Equipment Enclosure (NEE) located in the basement of the town hall. The NEE will house the core fiber management equipment that forms the heart of the Charlemont municipal fiber network.
Charlemont has received a USDA grant to support the purchase of some of this core equipment by the end of the year.
The Emergency Management Department will be installing a generator at the town hall that will be used as backup power for the NEE and the hub electronics. The EMD will complete the landscaping around the generator, propane tank, and air conditioning unit once the generator installation is complete.
