A Municipal Fiber to the Home Network for Charlemont Massacusetts
Our partners, WG&E, have completed the installation of the optical network equipment in our network hub! TriWire, our distribution construction team, also has the fiber for each FSA running into our equipment room ready to be connected when service installations begin!

If you are among the first hundred subscribers, thank you! Subscriptions received prior to the completion of network construction will receive up to a $1400 subsidy to connect, making installation free for most homes and businesses.

Optional phone service is available for an additional $19.99. Charlemont is offering up to a $1400 subsidy towards installation for subscribers during our construction period, which will make installation free for most locations. You can use Charlemont’s look up tool to get an idea of your estimated installation costs by address.

Comments closedTriWire crews began to move quickly through the traffic calming areas of the village, hanging strand and fiber on Route 2 starting on Monday. Last week saw crews preparing the side roads with strand and fiber while waiting on a bit of utility make-ready remediation.

Comments closedIn a Friday kick-off meeting with owner’s project manager, Westfield Gas & Electric (WG&E), Charlemont’s distribution contractor, TriWire announced construction will begin tomorrow, February 1st! Starting in areas where the utility remediation is complete, network construction in the village area aims to complete ahead of the resumption of traffic calming work this spring.
