The towns of Rowe and Charlemont entered into fiber swap agreements; one to support the customers in Rowe with fibers through the town of Charlemont and the other to support Charlemont customers with fibers through the town of Rowe.
One agreement allows Rowe the use of eight future Charlemont fibers from the Rowe town line to the Charlemont Fiber Management rack in the Network Equipment Enclosure in the Town Hall. The other agreement allows Charlemont the use of thirty Rowe fibers from the Charlemont/ Rowe line at the top of Legate Hill through to the Rowe/ Charlemont line at the top of Maxwell Road.
MLP Managers and Select Board members in both Charlemont and Rowe have entered into these agreements on behalf of the towns.
