Charlemont’s distribution network contractor, TriWire, has announced the beginning of splicing in FSA 01! Due to shortages of these specialized crews, splicing resources have been difficult to schedule for area projects and Charlemont’s work has begun ahead of expectations. Give a socially distanced thank you to these crews for this continued good work!
Splicing is the fourth step of the six-step process to begin offering service to Charlemont’s first customers in FSA 01, which is the village west of the town hall and convenience store to Zoar Outdoor, including Warfield Road, Riddell Road, High Street. East Hawley Road and South River Road.
Whip City Fiber (WCF) will begin scheduling installations soon for those that have signed up for service, starting with those in FSA 01. It will be both the most cost-effective and the most efficient if everyone in this FSA who is considering the service completes an application during this construction period. Installation subsidies of up to $1,400 are available until the completion of Charlemont’s network construction. There is no charge for internet service until it is provided. Residents and businesses throughout FSA 01, especially those with underground utilities, are encouraged to sign up for service today!
