Whip City Fiber has begun the consultations for underground installations in FSA 01 and FSA 05. To be contacted for installation consultation, residents must be signed up for service.
A technician will arrive at the scheduled time to discuss the recommended installation path with the customer and mark the DigSafe and Conservation Commission (ConCom) review path. After the ConCom releases the proposed path for construction, the installation team will generate a firm cost estimate for the work. Home and business customers will be notified of the cost and can choose not to go ahead with the installation if it exceeds Charlemont’s $1,400 subsidy.
