Verizon has now completed eleven of our seventeen make-ready applications! Once all our applications are returned, our partners, Westfield Gas & Electric (WG&E) will inspect the work and confirm that the utility poles are ready for our municipal fiber.
Charlemont’s path preparation projects are on track to be completed this fall so that when our make-ready is complete and inspected, we can begin the construction of our distribution network. Since Verizon’s make-ready schedule defines the overall project timeline, early completion of this phase of the opens up the possibility for the municipal fiber network to begin offering service earlier than anticipated.
