The March 16th Broadband Information Session was packed with information and was recorded for those who were unable to attend the video or telephone conference. Whip City Fiber and the Charlemont Broadband Committee have prepared this summary video presentation along with a companion document of the questions submitted in advance and asked by participants in the meeting and the answers, organized by topic. Charlemont reaches a new milestone with 200 subscribers committed to taking service! If every current subscriber reaches out to one or two additional homes or businesses in town that have not yet signed up, our take-rate will meet or exceed the numbers needed to fully fund the project construction!

At least one hundred Charlemont locations have now subscribed for service at whipcityfiber.com/charlemont! Subscriptions can also be requested by telephone by calling (413) 485-1251. If you are among the first hundred subscribers, thank you! Subscriptions received prior to the completion of network construction will receive up to a $1400 subsidy to connect, making installation free for most homes and businesses.

Our ISP, Whip City Fiber, is accepting sign-ups for the Charlemont Municipal Fiber Network’s gigabit internet service for $79.99! Optional phone service is available for an additional $19.99. Charlemont is offering up to a $1400 subsidy towards installation for subscribers during our construction period, which will make installation free for most locations. You can use Charlemont’s look up tool to get an idea of your estimated installation costs by address.
